If anyone has a doubt about where the future is headed in terms of virtual reality within our everyday lives, this video by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, will likely squash any doubt you may have. Facebook's work-in-progress, Social VR experience, is simply put, awesome! Users can congregate within a virtual environment with their friends and family. and change that environment on a whim. They can then interact with each other using a variety of virtual objects, or they can even create their own objects. Check out the Social VR experience in the video below:
Now just imagine where this technology will be in 5 years or so. I can envision a future where most of our online interactions are via virtual reality device, and I think it's pretty clear that Zuckerberg and Facebook have the same vision of the future.
